To answer your question, I think it’s easier than people think to write a good listicle, and most of it has to do with science.
I always strive to write something factual and valuable for other people, as well as something that I would personally read. I would never publish something that wouldn’t benefit someone else; I really try to value my reader’s time.
Listicles are known for being “trashy,” but they don’t have to be. Nick Wignall and Zulie Rane are great examples of this, and they’re masterful headline writers as well!
